Where can I drill and tap to add a drain plug for the diff and trans on my 64? Also where can I get a magnetic plug for both?

On you '64 trans... the Backup light switch is the drain

On the diff... look for the lowest point!

Go to the local NAPA or other REAL autoparts store FIRST and see what magnetic drain plugs are offered!

All the diff cases have the boss that was used on the early cars, you can drill and tap it. However, be aware that at least with a '66 and later, you'll need to split the trans and diff to do the drilling. I did one with a standard 1/4" pipe tap and got a magnetic plug from Amazon.
