there goes the neighborhood

Just got my latest issue of Hagerty magazine and turned to the column by Jay Leno. After talking about having restored an Olds Toronado and getting lots of hate mail because the publicity drove the prices up he discusses what makes a great classic. And then--"the all time greatest example of a car waiting to be discovered is the Chevrolet Corvair".
I guess our collective net worth just shot up!

Yes, the 2 greatest things to happen to Corvair values, . . . .
Jay Leno, and Tim Allen! cool smiley

If they keep give the Corvair such great publicity, I will not be able to afford this hobby much longer!sad smiley

Corvair parts and prices have gone out of my budget. For this reason, I am divesting myself of all my Corvairs and parts. My newest collectable car is going to be a hearse. That way, I can tell everyone that I will be the last one to let them down.spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

The Jay Leno comments were nice to see.

The folks at Hemmings have also been good to the Corvair.
