How much would you pay for a new accelerator rod?

I have had some slack time so I said what can I make for the Corvair this time.

Well I thought Accelerator rods. So here is my proto type. This is for the 1964 non-tubo only. Did you know there are 10 different accelerator rod styles! This one is made with 3/8" 1018 Steel. All bends were heated and bent then cooled, one at a time. All bends were eye-balled using the original rod as a guide. This rod has 8 bends in it. The transmission pivot end, the one with the 90 deg bend is case hardened just like the stock accelerator rod. Heated to 1400-1600 deg and quenched in oil. The original rod weights 14.1 oz and mine is 14.5 oz.

So the question is what would you be willing to pay for one of these. Before I can make any rod other than 1964 I will need a used, one verified as to the year. So here is the deal on this. You send me your old one I make a new one and I keep your old one to use as a pattern and you get 40% off what ever is the final price with free shipping back to you. Of course this is for the first person with a year and type I do not have. I will post a list of the years and type I need as we go along.

So you guys decide what I should charge. Keep in mind these take two hours of machine time and two hours to bend. Ya it takes a long time to hand bend these and I did burn my hand. As a starting point I am thinking $75+ each.

In the pictures the top one is stock mine is on the bottom.
