It’s a miracle! (Thanks Corventure Dave)

At the Toss two years ago I bought a shrink sleeve from Corventure Dave to fix my leaking powerglide shift cable. After the car sits a week, the cable would leak transmission fluid all over the garage floor as the torque converter drained back into the trans. I finally got around to putting the sleeve on just before Thanksgiving (I know, I’m slow).

I just got back from a week long business trip and, low and behold, no puddle! The cable is bone dry too. I’m thrilled. Thanks Dave for the fix!

Is that heat shrink tubing like used to insulate wiring? What size?

Yes, with an adhesive on the inside too. Not sure of the size because I didn’t measure it beforehand. The diameter was just barely large enough to fit over the shift lever side of the cable. You have to remove the cable completely to fit it, but it works.
