A Friendly Porpoise selling Judson Superchargers
Posted by: Pedigo ()

Missed this Judson on Portland Craigslist @ $300 a month ago.
Per my conversation with a very nice old man,he had two of these, but only listed one.The friendly porpoise bought both and listed one of them.

Wow! That’s a pretty cool setup. $300 would’ve been a steal

It was. And the eBay seller strictly bought it for the sake of stealing it for the flip. I can only imagine the bullshit story he told the seller.

Not evil at all. Just asking the seller to join in and explain his 500% mark-up.

From a performance stand point they do not make much of a difference and certainly don't compare to a well tuned factory turbo set up. They are a very low cfm compressor that at best, was suited to the smaller 145 ci engine. It probably worked better on even smaller VW engines.
The Paxton set up on the other hand will actually make some power if you can find one.
The Judson IMHO is a conversation piece at best.

If he joins and says he wants to make as money as possible, will that be a good enough explanation?

I'll bet the term "Porpoise" isn't used much by the over 40's!

$1500 will get you a nice turbo setup. But 1500 is a Smoking deal compared to this: [corvaircenter.com]

I like forced induction as much as the next guy, that being said a Judson isn't something I'd be interested in for street use, let the oiler run empty and see what happens.

Now on a MG TD they are neat as can be, course the engine is half the size.

Look it up under "Urban Dictionary" or read it here. Not something I would use in my vernacular. But others always have their freedom of speech.

Chilly Willy, I bought that restored Judson Super Charger you linked. I was going to install it last winter but ran into problems with the motor (fuel related) in the my 63 Sedan. Finally got that issue resolved when I cleaned and sealed the gas tank and flushed the fuel system this summer. It is on my to do list to install. Will be installed either my 62 Monxa (Flicka) or my 63 Sedan.

Out of context pertaining to this! Check for "Porpoise Seller"

OK Pedigo, with as much decorum needed, please explain your statement "The friendly porpoise bought both and listed one of them."

A porpoise is the teaching prop Pam uses in HR negotiations.

And Flipper is not a porpoise.
