() Date: November 29, 2017 01:48PM Here is another box of pistons for 1964 - 1969 Corvairs (+30). I don't know the brand of these pistons, and there are no markings on the box, except for P353 .030. I am not a piston aficionado, so please look at the picture and decide for yourself if this is a cast or forged piston. I did weigh one Sealed Power Forged piston, and it weighed 1.2 pounds, and these pistons also weigh 1.2 pounds. If you would like additional pictures of any part of the piston, please post below, and I will post them. Priced at $300 plus $25.00 shipping. All offers considered, both reasonable and unreasonable.. ![]() ![]() Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 12/08/2017 08:57PM by MattNall. Re: F/S 1964-69 Pistons +30 Posted by:

() Date: November 29, 2017 04:05PM I have found that the original manufacturer of these pistons is McQuay Norris. I also googled the difference between a cast piston and a forged piston. What I learned is that the cast piston will have mold marks on the sides, which these pistons don't have. For this reason, I believe that these are forged pistons. It is ultimately up to the buyer to determine this for themselves, since it is only my opinion that they are forged. So far, I have no absolute proof. I will be investigating this further tomorrow to find out more information. Re: F/S 1964-69 Pistons +30 Posted by:

() Date: November 29, 2017 04:22PM If you look inside them it seems there are lines/casting marks, they look cast to me, compare them to the forged TRW's you have? ![]() ![]() Email me at: Dave Motohead 1960 4dr sedan caveman car 1961 Rampside (Chetside) 1962 Rampside (Barnside) 1962 Short Rampside (Shortside) 1962 Monza 700 Wagon 1963 Monza 900 coup (General Nader) ----------------------------------- Rust Free Lancaster Ca Re: F/S 1964-69 Pistons +30 Posted by:

() Date: November 29, 2017 06:12PM Can't compare them now, because the others are already packed to go to the post office in the morning. Lets assume for a moment that they are cast, if there is an interest in them, then make an offer based on your thoughts. If they turn out to be forged, then you win even more. () Date: December 06, 2017 10:10PM Had a friend, who has rebuilt many Corvairs look at them, and he said that they are definitely Corvair, and they are cast, in his opinion. Bottom dollar is $100, plus the $25 or shipping. Re: F/S 1964-69 Pistons +30 cast $130! Posted by:
