Turbo Center Section

Don't throw away those turbo center sections because of the bearing or the piston ring area being bad.
I have a fix for either the bearing area wear or the piston ring area. I don't have an idea on cost yet I still need to work out the details.

I know I have scrapped many center sections because the piston ring area would not seal because of corrosion or damage. I have 6-7 right now with bad piston ring surfaces and the center sections seem to be harder to get, at least good ones.

Like when people try to jam the turbine in without the proper retainer on the seal? I have a few of those. I always thought some sort of sleeve could be installed there to save them.

I'm interested! I have 3 or 4 at least with the same issue.

I don't even bother with the TRW center housings, prefer the Rajay design as there's no O-ring to leak around the carbon seal.

Parts are still available new for the Rajay center section, pricey as heck do to being aviation parts though.
