My father and I had plan to build the Corvair truck but
it never seem to happen found the plans after he passed away.
So some how if one of you would like a copy of the plans
please contact me , I know it would be something that
would have made his day to know the truck finally got built.

Popular Mechanics used the Corvair as a base for their projects more than once. They cut up and down an early Corvair, it was blue color and on the cover of the issue. I have tried to find a copy but no luck.

I wonder how many FC were actually made into the high-tailer?

Well, since no one mentioned it, I am guessing that no one read any further down in the copy of the PM magazine that was linked in this thread?
There is an early in an article about detailing a car for re-sale, and what current 1967 products to use.
There is even a picture of the body tag, for those who enjoy that sort of thing.
