What are the part numbers for NOS Delco-Remy points, condenser, rotary button and distributor cap for a 1962 Corvair? I believe the points are D-108P...

Point assembly D-108P

Rotor D423R

Condenser D-203

Cap D316R

Coil D-511

Points & condenser assembly D-1004

There are 2 D numbers for the cap, one with aluminum terminals, and the other with the copper terminals, but I can't remember the D number for the copper cap.

I'm not clear on whether GM/Delco ever manufactured ventilated points for their cars and trucks. Anyone know for sure on that?
Given the choice, I'll take the non ventilated anyway.

The ones I've seen were sold by Sorensen.

I never saw a set of genuine set of GM points that were vented, only after market. Correct me if I'm wrong.

My memory is really fuzzy on this, but I think that Delco points changed from non-vented to vented at some point - maybe when production moved to Mexico (1990's???).

Maybe you are referring to the points that came in a GM box as opposed to a Delco-Remy box? I think those changed, also - memory again?

Ok...I was thinking of the "cross cut" contact faces when I mentioned the Sorensen vented points.
