That can’t possibly be real. Did you buy one of those plastic models from ebay, assemble and make look real pretty, then set it on a table and photo it at the proper angle to make it look real? winking smiley

Oh, it’s real alright. Just ask my aching back, arms and my dehydrated body!

It’s 99% preparation, 1% assembly.

Bill, I assume you are going to put cotter pins in the ball joint nuts. But knowing you they will be factory correct.smiling smiley

Yes, and I also still have to install the left brake parts, stabilier, steering linkage, wheel hubs, etc.

I think I’ll use new cotter pins, though. Sorry.

Good idea to have it sitting on the wheel dollies to roll it around and keep it stable. I'll have to do that when I do my wagon suspensions. When will the body be returned?

Gosh, I really don’t know. They are making good progress with the metal work but still some more to do, and when that done it’s on to priming and painting, so probably several months.

It's interesting to see the photos and look at the quality of welds they had back then. New hire with no experience in welder set up or proper welding technique.

When you go through any old 60's car it is amazing the things that you find done wrong on the assembly line.

Davemoto head had a LM four door with a floppy center post - he found they had not completed the weld of the center post to the body.

Bill,
Your suspension looks awesome!

I will be reassembling my front end for my Corsa soon. Can I ask how you installed your coil springs without destroying the finish? This had been one task that I am dreading!

Thanks!
Bill

Bill, this was previously answered on page 4 of this thread - I used a threaded rod, like in this photo. I gave more specific detail on page 4.
