Thank you for all the kind words and reminders on what is important. They really do help. Here is a pic of the hard luck award referenced. Had to dust it off a bit. He liked to keep a low profile and this really blew his cover in Seattle!

My wife and kids arrive today and funeral tomorrow so whirlwind time after a few really good calm days with my Mother who took care of him at home til the end. It really took a toll on her as well. Paul/Junk - she thanks you for the kind words and remembrance from you and Sandy.

Have fun at Greg's today those of you with Northern VA Corvairs!

Hey, D! I only met your Dad once at Summit Point... I'm sure your Mom and Dad are very proud of how well you have turned out, and that the apple didn't fall far from the tree in both of your passions for Corvairs! In the "Final Pic" it is amazing how much you now look like your father! We had a great turnout at the meeting on Saturday. A few members were asking about you. Installed new front springs and shocks on the '63 convertible. Maybe, unconsciously, we were thinking of your Dad while working on a cousin to his original Corvair. My condolences... G

Darrin, Thoughts and prayers to you and yours. You are carrying your Father's legacy forward. Be proud of him and his accomplishments. Be grateful for a father who shared his love and his hobby. Get through this period knowing many of us understand and, from the responses, many, many knew and respected your father. A life well lived, one to be celebrated, and a son he was obviously be proud of.

Brian
