68 engine lid with holes for rack

I have this on my parts car. Is it anything worth saving, or realistically, passing on to someone who needs an original?

I would see it as being important to make sure it had a genuine GM rack.

Hmm. All I have is the lid. I'll try to get photos when is stops raining. Am I looking for some particular spacing? I don't care about it but I thought someone doing a resto might be interested. I try to help others when I can.

Just my two cents worth,
but I always figure that hoods & trunk lids are ALWAYS worth saving!
Since they are relatively flat, they do not take up large amounts of real-estate.
Besides, when someone really needs a engine cover desperately, the will not mind if they have to fill a few holes.

Here are the photos. I tried to show the dimensions of the hole placement on the hood. There are 8 holes. The center holes are slightly closer (vertically) than the outer holes. If it's really worth using, I am happy to give it away. It's just on my parts car. If not, Rex Johnson will end up with it and he can sell it for parts and pieces.

Not a GM original corvair rack, too many bolt holes. Corvair use four mounting holes, Corvette of the same era had either 6 or 8 (can't remember for sure).
