A perfect "Top Down" day here in New Orleans!

Temp should be in the low 70's, extremely low (for here, anyway) humidity, light breeze, party sunny, (quoting Chuck Berry) no particular place to go. Outstanding convertible weather.

Given the long range weather forecast of a warmer than normal and dryer than normal winter her in New Orleans; perhaps one of many gorgeous days.

IF only I still had a DropTop car! Much less a LM Monza convertible!!

Hmmmmm......quite possible in the near future!

Had a great summer for top down, now in the garage top up. 19 when I got up this morning. Going to lunch with some old VET friends that go back to high school. They asked if I would be bringing the Vair, nope, Sorento with heated seats and wheel.

Enjoy your weather.

Four (or 5) months of moderate "Winter" weather here in NOLA is partial payback for the 6 (or 7 or 8) months of Hot & Humid "Summer" weather we have to endure here.

Hmmmm.....a LM Monza vert with factory A/C would be quite perfect for me.....

I put the top up a couple weeks ago just for stretching it, it could possibly stay stored all the time. I just finished cutting my grass again, nice and green.

Nice warm day here, just below freezing so have been shoveling snow and scraping ice. The 65 is in the paint shop, the 62 is tucked away for winter and the wagon is a giant pile of parts waiting for cleaning, painting, and re-assembly. Won't be able to drive one again until late April early May 2018.

We've been having some chillier weather here in OKC. I did drive the Corvair to work Thursday at Tinker AFB with the top up though. Wet weather is the only thing that can keep the Corvair in the garage.

My Uncle, who lived in the southeast corner of OK (McAlester), swore that his Corvair was the best darn snow & ice car he ever had! It was nothing special, just a base engine/PG 500 model. He said that he would lock the PG into low, gently feather the gas pedal (or just let it idle and pull itself) and he and the vair could crawl their way out of any snow/ice fall.

thumbs up

Yeah, I know Corvairs are great in the snow, but mine won't be seeing any if I can help it.
