Is it at all possible to install an a/c unit in a 1961 ramp side with a 140 engine? Hot in SoCal, Art

Not sure if the 61 Rampside is different from any other Rampside but I've seen two other Rampsides with A/C.... But none with the 4 carb 140 engine. There may be a clearance problem with the A/C compressor sitting too high with the 4 carb configuration. The 2 carb engines use a lower bracket. I know my GB would not clear an A/C compressor with the higher compressor bracket. Keep in mind there never was a 140 engine in the FC's

It's been done.... Richard Aoki of L.A did it years ago.....I believe all it takes is the High Mount and custom air filters...

Don't have a picture to post, but a friend of mine has a Rampside with a turbo engine and a/c. Of course he had to modify the truck to allow for the turbo. You might have to do the same with the high-mount bracket for the 4-carb motor.
