WoW ! ! !
I do not ever want my family to have to get rid of a mess of stuff like that!
What a nightmare.

BUT, on the other hand, for those that like that look, that is sure one big Patina Paradise ! ! !

Bet there are some real treasures in it!

Wonder if the local club knows of him?

Several FCs in there. The shame of it is - Ill bet almost all of those cars are at the crusher before years end. Sad.

I'm going to start calling people with too much money hoarders. Steve Jobs was a major hoarder.

5 hours from me. I wonder how many trips it would take if I bought all the Corvair stuff?

It looks like he was working on the vert that's sanded for painting. Could be health got in the way and everything stopped. Some have large collections of cars and parts like that and they have plans to sell from the collection to boost retirement, if they sell or give stuff away from the collection then they are in business, if they won't let anything leave then they're hoarders.

Aircooled 6 was right. A lot of the cars went to the crusher. I saved a 62 Wagon and 3 vans but it was too far away to make more than one trip. Piles of starters heads, engines and other parts were scrapped also. The crushers were bidding against us. Lots of people there and things went cheap.

That is nothing but sad. We had a collector in our area pass about two years ago. It took the family a while but all of the running cars were sold including the 59K miles LM Vert I’m driving now. In addition several trailers of parts and parts cars got bought.

Short sighted on the family’s part I would guess as the Corvair market is showing signs of life. Best reason in the world to put a firm “going out of business” plan in place for collections like this if life and death happens.
