You guys crack me up!
Complaining about the mess and no matter how it would have looked you would have not purchased it.

Asking about the price.
Not one of you bothered to look that it is going to be Auctioned off and just MAYBE - the owner passed away and the family wants nothing to do with all the stuff.

I hope it's not a situation where the owner passed away and the family wants to get rid of it.If it isn't the owner would have done better to tell everyone more about it and like was already said some cleaning up would have been great! Also more pictures, but I guess people coming to the auction will find all Tha out.

Yeah - Because so many (376) were made and anyone can easily hand build an aluminum riveted body any day of the week to replace it!!

The mind set of some people...

That's why the make chocolate and vanilla.

They were neat in the day, but for the kind of time and money you can put into one of these you can buy a REAL used RV. One that you can use to take your family out on comfortable trips and see our great country instead of working on something that you may never get on the road. We now have put more than 100K miles on big block motorhomes, the only state we missed is North Dakota.

I love old cars, but its not the only thing I love.

You can buy a modern junker made of wood that you still have to work on a lot and that burns at least 3x the fuel.

Look at a classic GMC Motorhome for that money. Get a vehicle much better designed and with way more support. thanks

So a '78 is modern? The GMC is cool but it weighs a ton, is huge compared to an Ultra and uses about 3x the fuel. Ultras have great support not like the GMC but then I doubt any other motorhome does.

Problem I see with UVs.

1. Safely seating 2 adults, and 2 (growing quickly) children.
2. Easily, and comfortably sleeping 4 people, pending they do not want to all sleep in the rear bed, and item 1. above impacts the front 'seat bed'configuration.

I did inquire about this UV, way back when it was first listed, and I was looking for one - which is where the $13k number I had posted above, or previously came from. It needs a lot. The other I was looking at was significantly cheaper, though also a giant project - and the current owner just recently listed for sale.
