For Sale: EM Turbo Parts
Posted by: Mark M ()

Time to sell some of the turbo parts in my stash, all EM forsale

- 62-63 complete turbo unit. Does not turn. Exhaust turbine fins are bent. Impeller looks good.

- EM compressor housing all cleaned up and ready to install. This came off a rebuilt turbo unit I bought. I am doing the EM/LM turbo combo so do not need it.

- New EM impeller (carb side). I just pulled this impeller off of a rebuilt turbo that I picked up. I am doing the EM/LM turbo combo so do not need this impeller.

- I may also be selling my three 64 Turbo heads if I find two 62-63 turbo heads to have rebuilt. All need to be rebuilt.

PM your email. I will send photos and we can work out prices.

Update:

I got the turbo unit loose and it now turns easily. Was just 40+ years of junk built up on it. Pretty sure it was original to my car and was pulled off long before 1978 when it was parked.

64 turbo heads: They are definitely for sale. One left, one right, and a 64 service head that has no valves or springs. Gasket surface on all was resurfaced for me by a Show Me Corvair Club member. All valve seats appear to be intact.

Left head has valves, springs and retainers, but springs have surface rust.
Right head is missing one exhaust valve and spring, but others are there, also surface rust.

Make me a reasonable offer. Send a PM

Interesting how stuff that sold pretty easily 10 years ago is just not in demand any longer. Not even a nibble.

Part of the problem is you're trying to sell off parts that nobody needs. I also have spare b compressors and compressor housings from doing the same turbo parts swapping. The compressors and housings never go bad so I don't know who would ever need replacements. The spare turbo you would not have a problem selling if the exhaust turbine weren't damaged, especially if it were a 64. Good turbines are hard to find, making them desireable. As is a 64 exhaust housing since it can be used in a late model.

I agree. I do have a 64 exhaust housing to sell.
