For your reference, the 65 column can be easily used with a 66-style steering box. Easiest into a 65 car, but easily done into a 66.

Geoff, what should the shaft length be from the box to the end of the shaft? I have one that may be correct because I sold the column w/o the box. Ken

Early 65 tele box shaft is 14.5". Late 65 and 66 are 15.5" A late 65/66 box with an early 65 column won't fit right and will cause binding in the wheel...ask me how I know.

Geoff, my shaft is 15 1/4" from box to end. I don't know what this box came off of. PM me if you think it is what you need. Ken
