Adjusting LM front sub-frame spring perch
Posted by: jetcat ()

My LM Coupe right side perch has been bent at some point during it's lifetime. Probably the passenger front tire was whacked. Anyhow, when I aligned it, I could not get enough lower control arm adjustment to get to +1/2 ° camber. You can also see that the perch is about 3/16" closer to the body than the left side.

I was thinking of dropping the whole thing out again and making a gig that bolts to all 4 front mounting bolt holes and put a hydraulic ram in to push it out. Has anyone ever tried to do something like this?

Anything's possible, but if you're dropping the front suspension back out, how tough could it be to find a rust free California replacement cross member?

Wanted to add shims but wrong way.

Wagon_Master: I am getting one from Dave Moto but wanted to save my nice powder coated one. Guess I should have measured before painting but it didn't look bent or buckled......

Bob - I have an extra one available - if the one from Dave doesn't work out for you.
