Installing a 140 in a Lakewood
Posted by: Westds ()

I have a Lakewood with a sick 80 HP, low compression on 2 cyl. I have a good 140 I can swap in. If I do this I believe I will need to block off the secondary's.
I don't see a way to fit four air filters in this small compartment. I would like to keep the secondary's, anyone have a solution to installing adequate air intake filtration? If so how about a photo?

I believe on Corvanatics they posted the plans for the stockish units.

These were made by Rex Johnson using the plans in the Tech Guide. (I think these plans are the same as the ones posted at Corvanatics.) This set is on my Rampside but the Lakewood engine compartment is nearly identical.

Cnicol

Looks good and quite professional. You mentioned the Tech Guide, I am not familiar with this document. Where can I get a copy?
I talked to Ken Hand of Corvanatics and he said there was no info on their site regarding this modification.

Billy Bruce in NC has a very nice rampside with a 140 and did some amazing custom breathers for it. He used stock units cut and made together similar to this setup.
