'64 8-door Corvan for parts in Oregon
Posted by: Pedigo ()
Date: October 06, 2017 05:20PM

The seller had this on Eugene craigslist back in May.
Didn't want it to go unshared, and this is the only ad I'm aware of as of now.
-No motor
-No title
-$755 asking price

Most everything else is still there, including the 7th and 8th cargo doors.
I was tempted to buy it for parts when I discovered it,but full-up on space.

Do it before I do.
Although my space doesn't realistically allow for a third FC,now that I've shared the van,it has reignited my desire for that rare 8-door.
Will "might" be able to get a title for it.

He's calling me in the hangover morn.

Do it before I do.

For those not on FB...
What can I say? I'm a sucker for dilapidated FC's.

I agree and thanks,Mr Bennet.
As it turns out,Mr Nicol has been reviving a '64 110 FC motor for me as of the last couple of weeks. Hadn't ran in 30 years.
My original plan is to swap it into the '62 Corvan while I pull the original 80horse out and R&R it.
I might just install Craig's motor into this correct year van instead and roll it dirty with refreshed mechanicals.
We'll see next Saturday.
The seller has a lien on the van and says titling it shouldn't be difficult.

Besides... It gives me another reason to justify window-delete doors and individual seats,as far as wifey is concerned. So there's that.winking smiley

Truth,AM.

This is not a project for the faint of heart.
It will most likely never see it's beautiful white with red band again.

The goal is to make it completely mechanically sound and trip people out,up and down the I-5 corridor while it plugs along at 70mph.

The look on their collective faces while they point and wave will justify the effort.

That is exactly what I would do were it mine.

Those windowless side doors are great and hard to find. Especially Right Hand. I also see it has the Right hand factory outside mirror base.
This is a unique van, and a 64 to boot! A cool find!smileys with beer

Inspection is Saturday. We'll see how chunky the doglegs and jambs are then.
When you say the "right" doors, which doors are you referring to? I always thought the driver's side cargo doors were the difficult ones to find.

John and Theresa Millers old '64 8-door PG with window delete and gas heater for reference. I've always been fond of this one and it's inspiring to say the least.
