It's a $50k "starting bid". Even worse. Nobody in their right mind is going to drop that much scratch on an electric Loadside.

If I had $50K to spare, I'd drop it on this in a heartbeat. Of course, I'm not really known to be in my right mind most of the time. Good thing I don't have $50k. I love this!

I might be interested if it was a Rampside.

While too pricey for me, it looks very well done.

I don't know much about electric propulsion systems but it's a great looking FC and looks well engineered. I cant figure out why people put so much work into a vehicle like this and put it up for sale before it's even finished! Sometimes the performance isn't what they expected or it's full of glitches they cant fix. And the project must have been more difficult because it didn't have a ramp door to work through.

Somebody contact the La Crescenta, CA electric Rampside guy.

I cant remember his name...so he can at least look at this.

I'm betting he would want to compare notes with this one.

Very nicely done. Even the undercarriage looks detailed. It could use one of Steve's front floor mats!

Have to see if it winds up on an auction. Quite nice!

I saw this vehicle in person last year in Daytona Beach. Our Central Florida Corvair Club was holding our Corvair Affair and he brought his Loadside to the show. I'm not a vehicle appraiser but this vehicle was first class in every detail. What surprised me the most was the limited range it has on a charge based on what the owner told me. I can't remember exactly but it was a whole lot less than what is useable for commuting. Having said that, the assembly and finishing is excellent, very professional in all areas.

Is it worth $50K ? I don't know but I think he may well have that much invested, or more.

We had two electric corvairs at last year corvair affair this loadside and a 65 convertable, which I road with Larry to our last months meeting in Sanford Fl. His car has a 60 mile range and it was a 25 mile distance, it was dark after the meeting which meant we had to use lights on way home. If it was one mile longer we would of had to push it, it was good that we had a 1/8th mile down hill to his garage. A good local car but that'
s it!!!

Very impressive workmanship on this. I believe I read an 80 mile range? I think that was better than the original Volt. $50k is a lot of money, If I had a ton of money I'd buy it!

The attention to detail is first-rate.
The price point is unrealistic.
First rule of eBay... The starting bid should be 1/10th of what you hope to sell it for.
To start @ $50k is a futile effort,at best.

Yes, the price seems high.
As far as range - that's the penalty for pushing a barn door through the air.
The same package in a passenger car would give better range, except you wouldn't have enough room for all those batteries - oops.
It takes some serious engineering to get decent range with an electric.
(and lotsa bucks spent on batteries!)

It's a nicely done conversion from the video I saw on You Tube. Range is a problem with most electric vehicles and 72v doesn't mean anything, it's all about KWh with battery packs. Not sure why he's decided to keep the PG either, you'll have a lot of losses by going through a gearbox.

Would I pay $50K+ no but you have to admire the engineering involved

Impressive. Having done a rotisserie restoration myself and knowing what it cost I would say the price is low. Really neat engineering. I wonder how good the range is on it.
