Howdy all,

Rather than spend time with - and money on, the family....I've been attentive to the RHD Monza.

The mechanicals are done, and the body makes progress.

The major areas of rust have been addressed (windscreen, sills & door bottoms), with a replacement RH rear floor being replaced in a few days.

While a new interior arrives from Clarks, I'll work on the repairs required on the seat frames before they can be covered and sat on.

Regards,
Rhys

Nice to see it being done well. That's going to be one unique and interesting vehicle in your part of the world.

Howdy all,

It would appear that the rust repairs have now all been done on this car. It has been great to have access to the right guys to assist me in doing this.....it just means that progress isn't always at the pace I'd like.

So it's been

* The windscreen panel (and rebuilding the supporting metal underneath)
* Left & right outer sills (and rebuilding the corresponding end pieces)
* New left & right rear guard bottoms
* New right-hand rear panel above the sill
* New right rear floor
* Re-fabricate rear floor under the rear seat
* Re-fabricate right-hand base of the B pillar
* New bases to right & left front guards
* Sundry patches to front left floor
* Patches to left & right panel around folding top
* Rebuilt the bottom corners of left & right doors
* Replace front seat anchor studs
* patch the metalwork on the seat frames
* Repair rear centre bumper bar anchor

So, it's time to take the rest of the body back to metal (remove the remnants of three earlier paint jobs - then a new coat of Marina Blue.

Regards,
Rhys
