I'm shipping off the rest of the repro FC front floor mats that were ordered next week. I have one extra mat ($245 + shipping) and one "second" ($200 + shipping), which, to my eye it is not quite as good as the other mats, although anyone else might not be able to tell the difference. Let me know ASAP if you want one of these.

The mold has been carefully crated up and for the future I will tally names until there's enough to warrant another batch of mats.

2 questions regarding LM full width mat -

1-is there a difference between, say a 65 versus 66-69?
2-For casting a mold, Color doesnt matter,right?

986052 is handwritten on the box of one I have on the shelf.

Correct, a mold can be created from a mat of any color, but unfortunately from the other thread about the repop'ing a LM mat, I'm not seeing enough interest to warrant doing it. Maybe because the LM mat came in various colors, and a plain black map just isn't that desireable. Different part numbers are given for the mats for each year, and both the colors and the design are probably different.

Steve:

We received the floor mat today. It looks great. May not be right color, but I'll find some individual fawn mats to a accent it. It is unrolled in the garage to breathe and relax out the rolled up configuration.

Thanks for the great product and great support.

No mats left, but if you PM your email and mailing address, I'll add you the list of mat recipients next time I make a batch.

My repro FC front and rear (load area) floor mats will be available for a while from Clarks, which recently acquired several of the mats to include among their offerings. You'll find more about the rear mat here. I'm not sure when Clarks will be listing the mats, but for now, you should contact them if you want one.

I'm not sure if the rear mat will be available again; they were difficult and expensive to make, and although I was able to put the epoxy mold in storage, its large, bulky support platform has been scrapped. So what Clarks has is likely the last of them.

Thanks again,Steve.
Amazing work on the rear cargo mat!
These MUST have been a real pita due to the sheer size and I sincerely appreciate your endeavor in making them.

Thanks Thomas. I'm not sure about the pita, but almost as difficult than getting a good bagel in OH. I trusting that the chrome made it in good order also.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to ME!

A while back I got my reproduction front F.C. Floor Mats.
Last week I got one of the rear reproduction mats to match.

Now all I need is to find a suitable F.C. to actually use them in.

In the mean time, they will lay flat on the floor in my basement along with a bunch of other car parts I have been accumulating for a while.

The blue carpet you might see is for my Monza Coupe. It has been waiting for a while now.

Thanks to Steve for making these mats available.

Yes, I hope so too, at least covered his time, PLUS!
All too often projects like that are solely a labor of love unfortunately.

Not a pot-full, but I did OK - enough to make it feel worth the time and effort; and of course, every cent is being dumped into the Firebrier. I appreciate all the support and positive feedback from my Corvair community friends for the mat repros, and I hope people buy them from Clarks. As TP expressed above, if you get one of the rear mats you will be among the lucky few.

Congrats Steve - As someone who reproduced a lot of Corvair parts I have a pretty good idea what you went through.
