ROBSON SPRING LOADED IDLER - DID YOU GET YOURS??
Posted by: diegocorsa ()

Hey all,

Just checking if anyone who ordered and idler from the last run has actually gotten theirs? I have tried numerous times to contact the vendor to see where mine is with no response.

Did you call Lon? I got through right away.

If you ordered with aluminum pulley his vendor was not able to make them and he is looking for another source.

He posted about the issue and if you want another option to call. Otherwise when he gets the pulleys fabbed he will ship.

I've emailed him several times and have called at least 6 times. I originally ordered it with an aluminum pulley but he sent me an email explaining the issue with them. So, I emailed him back and requested a steel pulley be installed and I;d take the $20 refund for the difference, that was 3 weeks ago and still no idler.

Careful what you say about Uncle Lon. They'll come marching in mob style with lit torches and gasoline.

Only took me 3 1/2 months to get my front disc brake kit from CU. Much better than distributor many years ago that took 5 months. Quality takes time.

Its simple. A business should only ask for your money as they are applying the shipping label to your order.

Never done business any other way.

Ordered mine without pulley, got mine within four to five days. No complaints. I had problems completing my order on-line, so called the next day, gave him my cc info, and that was that.

I am still waiting on mine with aluminum pulley.

I understand the problem with the supplier, but the lack of communication is frustrating beyond belief. I did not receive an email regarding the delay, just happened across a post here that stated he was having troubles. When I reached out to him he did not seem concerned that I was not aware of the delay and was waiting for my parts.

Arguably I did not call, but emailed him. Even if that is not your preferred means of communication, as a professional and a business you think I would get some response.

I paid through PayPal on April 27th, and no part or communication, ridiculous! So, I opened up a case for a refund through Paypal even though I really want the idler. Sad, just sad..

Because 99% of his business dealings are perfect, and he sells quality parts.

I'll bet Lon is happy he isn't selling raffle tickets!! LOL!!

This is the case and I know it. I am more disappointed in the lack of communication with the delays.

I just hope I get the idler at this point, there is no rush. I am reluctant to say that though, because he does already have the money!

Yes he and American-pi have comm. shortfalls.....but both are most likely all alone in the business and can only handle so much.. not an "excuse" but a "REASON"

Product ready to ship before selling?

When Daniel M / Bluebrier and I were selling D&M Big Singles and Big Duals, Clarks inquired about stocking them..

We had to let them know that the only reason were we able to sell at our price is because we dealt with a Computerized Tubing business and had no Production requirement.

The machine spit out any one of the pieces whenever it had the tubing in excess after making other parts. Whenever there were enough parts to assemble 5...we were notified. Sadly the Business was sold and the new owner would not do it!! Never made sense...to us!

Matt, did you take orders, collect money, then sit back and wait months for this call from the tubing shop?
