Do you REALLY want a FC floor mat?

If you desperately need reproduction FC floor mats, they could be obtained here:

The Vintage Runningboard Specialists
179 Millrise Dr. SW
Calgary, AB, CANADA, T2Y 2G4
www.runningboardrubbermats.com

They specialize in repoping running boards and mats, appear to do top notch work, and charge accordingly. They could repop the standard FC front and rear mats using the embossed pattern of the mint NORS mat that I possess, which is different than the embossment on the stock mat (which they cannot reproduce). They would charge somewhat less than $2000 (that's right three '0's), but would cut price 10% if multiple orders were placed. Before you judge this as exorbitant, consider that each mat is milled and assembled individually, as shown on their web site.

Nevertheless, for the rear mat I need, this is probably beyond my means, but I'm keeping the option "open". I'm currently hoping to get a decent used mat that can be restored.

Not surprising, considering it's "one-off" custom work.

As I recall, there are two parts to the middle and cargo mats. 1) What I call "anti-corrugation" rubber underlay and 2) The pebbly mat on top with it's 1" or so smooth perimeter.

I assume you're talking about the pebbly mat on top. Have you found a source for the anti-corrugation underlay?

Standard models were almost black and Deluxe had colored mats, right?

Correct. We are not talking about the "anti-corrugation" mat, just the black standard surface mat. The deluxe mats were colored and had a different pattern embossed on the surface.

The deluxe mats, if not all of them, were made for Chevy originally by Koneta Rubber Products of Wapokoneta, Ohio.

I know this because my '64 Greenbrier, purchased by my father in January of 1966, had the manufacturer's tag on the underside of the mat.

Easy way out if not concerned about being stock. Buy a pickup truck bed liner. Nice thick rubber and cut to fit.

A truck mat is 4 ft between wheel wells. What is the width of the FCs? I found some 6 ft width rubber mats in rolls available.
