I have a. 66 Monza HT. I picked up 2 courtesy lights sockets, is there a wiring harness hidden up in dash that I plug the sockets into the door switches.

You just have sockets? Not the whole kit? There are brackets that hold the sockets and a harness that runs behind tge dash. Its a plug in into the existing dome lamp system.

There are wires coming out of the socket with 2 plugs about 6 inches long.

There should be matching conectors under the dash towards the kick panles that lead to the door pins. One should be white (door pin ground) the other should be orange (12 +) . But you are still going to. Need brackets that hold tge sockets.

Did you get the "factory" style harness? If not, then Clark's should have it and it's made by M&H Electrical Fabricators. The factory style harness has connectors so it just plugs into the factory dome light harness. Diagram is in the shop manual.

Just buy the harness. Clarks sells it as there is a lot more than 2 sockets. It jumpers in at the left side connection for the dome light.

As others have said, it takes something of a harness. Here are the instructions.

It's an additional harness. Usually it's part of the kit but thankfully, it has been reproduced.

The Monzas had the door switches to control the dome light.
Verts came with the courtesy ight because there was no place to put the dome ljght!
Those lights were an option on hardtop cars. If you don't care about looking "stock" you can tap into the exsisting wiring to make the courtesy lights work.

Could you get one from a parts vert?

Seems to be M & H Electric part number 39621 (for 1966 model) $35. Includes sockets but probably not brackets. Click here for M&H Electric

From what I recall, the convert light harness is different as it is not designed to jumper between the conventional roof mounted dome light. Make your life easy and buy the harness that Clarks sells. You will spend almost as much on wire and connectors
