Hi guys, I have been working on my complete interior wish list for Clarks.

I already have:

Rear hinge covers
Pinch welt
4 door sills with Fisher emblems
Heater/vent hoses
All rubber molding and seals have been replaced.

What am I missing? I will be thankful for any advice! TY smileys with beer

Track knob there in good shape. I am running polished stainless screws. Removed the dash cover and speaker bezel and paint matched the dash...

Good heads up! TY

PS, this pic was taken after paint and before cleanup..

How about the Masonite? board that flips down and covers the gap when the rear seat is folded down.

Rubber bumper stops for the back seat?

Dome light base and lens.

Was there something on the inside of the tailgate?

Is the vent that comes out in front of the rear seat at the floor in good shape?

It has been 35 plus years since I sold my Monza Wagon and even longer since riding in the same car when my parents owned it so my memory isn't real sharp about the details of what things you may need.

It is nice that a lot of these pieces are available as reproduction items but boy do they add up quick when doing the math.

P.S.
How about arm rest bases and pads?

Glove Box cardboard?

Caraholic4life, Thanks!

Bumper stops... There is one! Is there a little cover that goes over the rear seat side latch?

Masonite board in in good shape. Clarks will make a carpet cover for it.

Dome light and lens have been replaced

I am still trying to find my little cover for the inside of the tailgate.

Painted and missing... It has to be in the parts boxes somewhere!

I better look for the rear seat vent covers too...

Glove box is complete.

I really don't recall if there was one on the side latch but it wouldn't surprise me.

There is not a cover over the rear seat latch, which is on the right back side of the rear seat. However there are covers over the brackets that for the rubber bumpers that are attached to the rear wheel houses. All the original ones I've seen are tan/beige, no matter the interior color. See attached picture.

Your list appears to include '61 front & rear seat upholstery, but '62 cloth style door panels, except your list only has three door panels shown. The right front was not listed.

Although you don't have to use them, the '62 Monza cloth door panels had either vinyl covered or stainless steel buttons. The buttons on the cloth door panels were not glued on like the all vinyl panels, but instead used buttons with pins on the back that pushed through the panel, had retainers that slid over the pins, then the pins were folded over, just like the buttons on the '62 vinyl bucket seats.

For more details about the '61 & '62 Monza cloth upholstery cars, see Dave Newell's great article in the January/February 2012 CORSA Communique.

Hi Wade,

Good catch on the door panel. It is on my master Clarks Wish List!

I have not added all of the quantities from the master list. I did not know if I wanted the buttons in the door panels.

I have decided that I want the 1961 700 seats, but I am having them line pleated every 2.5" for a little different look. They should look great with the cloth door panels.

Thank you for your help! Dave

If the door panels use the '62 pleat pattern, each front door panel requires 7 buttons and the rear door panels require 6 buttons, so a total of 26 buttons would be needed to do all four door panels.

Page 286 has the rear seat side panels and wheel hump vinyl. I still can not find the latch covers or these bumpers in the catalog.

However, I did remember and find the door jam switches I was looking for. :-)

I've never seen the covers in the Clark's catalog. If you don't still have yours, you'll have to find some used ones from one of the Corvair used parts vendors or someone on this forum. I understand the Corvair Ranch has numerous wagon parts cars.

On the right side there will be a metal catch bracket that the seat latch hooks on to when the seat is in the upright position. Be sure you have that catch bracket. You might as well get all the related hardware and bumpers as shown in the red interior above. The catch bracket is partially visible in that same picture on the right rear wheel house.

I may have missed it, but the wagons had different front arm rests than the regular cars. You have the regular ones listed. IIRC, there are 3 mounting points so the regular ones may work. I just kinda like the original design.

Was lucky one of the previous owners of mine had a NOS set of rear rests with the correct color pads he gave me at Helen the other year! (Man, I love the 'vair community)

Got a used set for mine from the Ranch as well as the flipdown board and hinge assembly.

Good morning Wade and Ed,

Wade,

I am trying to go a little different with the green wagon. The cloth door panels will be green with silver vinyl, the 61 wagon seat panel will have pleat lines sewn the same size as the door panels. I have seen 7 button and 4 button door panels.

I have found my latch and and hook, There has never been a cover. This wagon never had an interior when I purchased. I will have to hunt a cover down.

Hi Ed, I have the original arm rests. They look to be left overs from the 1960 run, but are in rough shape. My rear doors never had any arm rests. Do the larger arm rests get in the way of the fold down seat?

So it looks like the 500 and 700 got the round style, Will the round style arm rest work on the rear doors also? I thin I would rather have the rounder style and really do not want or need ash trays.

Looks to me that the Monza chrome square arm rests may be the only choice from Clarks. They should look good with silver pads. and the silver in the door panels.

But, on page 271b, they have the round style for FC vans. Will these work on the front and rear doors of a wagon?

You have to open the doors when you fold the seat. The large rests w/ ashtray fit the mounting holes in the door without an issue. I don't have any pics of them. You coming to Independence? I am bringing the wagon there.

And Corvair Ranch should have the fold down cover.

Not coming to Independence... I have not really been doing any of the shows with no interior in the wagon. I will give Corvair ranch a call on the cover. Have you ever seen a wagon with the round style handles front and back?
