Watching Live video of the Old Chevy Dealership, now the Royal Sign Company, burning in Mt. Airy Maryland. I hope they save the front where the Sign still is. sad smiley

The Last news Video I saw showed the Roof GONE, the Sign Still there But LOTS of smoke still coming out. I always enjoyed looking at the Sign every time I would drive through Mt. Airy.

The flag looks to be in perfect shape... maybe placed after the fire?

The flag was definitely placed after the fire.
Look at the pictures from during the fire.
Unfortunately it appears the wind twisted it up.

As I viewed our FLAG over the burnt remains I was reminded of the old Chevy slogan, "Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie & Chevrolet."

What a great slogan!

I liked that picture. There were Other wheels mounted on the fence on the left side of the building. Maybe someones tribute to the old Chevy Sign? cool smiley
The last picture was the building on the Right that you can see in the pic and Video above, Vairy Close to someones house.

The sign should be removed and put into a museum

AGREED. SHOULD BE IN THE NEW CPF MUSEUM. THEY NEED TO CONTACT THEM AND SAVE, THEN REBUILD THE WHOLE FRONT WALL. JMHO

This sign that had been advertised locally (craigslist) about a year ago for a very long time would have been an ideal candidate for a Museum sign.

I have not seen it advertised for quite a while now but given the $3,000.00 asking price, I doubt it ever sold.

I would like to think it did not turn into scrap metal though.
