WTB : fuel pump & oil filter mount

I am in need of the casting on the rear of the engine (Corvair) the one with the oil filler , fuel pump, & oil filter. The one I want is # 3851864 GM,I'm not sure what engine it goes to but that doesn't matter , just so it is the number and it has a large boss where the oil pressure sender goes and the generator/alternator mount is rather thick. I do not need the fan belt adjusting pulley, no bolts , and nothing else other than I need it to be usable. PM me with info. Larry Cooper

Need to know if it's for an FC, or you don't care...

Also what are you going to run, an Alternator or a Generator?

I checked the parts book and that part number is not listed for the adaptor. I suspect that 3851864 is the casting number and the parts catalog has the assembly number.

I have a few that came off 65 - 68 engines. I will look and see if any have this number.

I have 2 boxes full of those castings, already cleaned , if anyone is need.
Early[ generator ] and LM [alternator ] types.

864 is the standard car late alternator adapter

753 is the heavy casting early of the early car generator style

Thanks for the response as to filter mount. I have one which is as I listed and it is in perfect condition but I do not want to do anything to it in case I might need it later on. I have an idea for customizing the mount and the one I have is suitable - but - as I say I need one like it to do tinker with. Eventually I will use an alternator , but that is not important right now. I have another casting but it is lighter weight and I need the heavier casting. I think the one I have and the one I want possibly came off a 140 engine , but I don't know that for sure. Waiting for more info. Thanks , Larry Cooper

Hi Bob, I still haven't found oil filter fuel pump casting # 3851684 GM, please check to see if you have one in one of your 2 boxes. I believe that unit is for an LM with alternator. If you do have a good one, PM me with price including shipping. I will pay with bank cashier's check. Thanks, Larry Cooper
