OT need part for 50 Chevy
Posted by: William Pierson ()

My first love is still Corvair but I am restoring a !950 Chevy Bel Air with 235 engine/PG. In spite of bagging and marking every thing I have lost one of the clamps that holds the manifold to the cylinder head. They are the same on all 216-235-261 engines. I need one of the center or longer clamps. Any help is appreciated.
There are no Chevy forums that I have found that is in the same league as this one. If any of you Chevy guys know of a forum for older Chevies or if anyone has a 50-52 Chevy Bel Air hardtop I would like to hear from you.
Thanks
Bill Pierson

Dave, thanks for responding . All my picture taking equipment is not working right now. The part I need is 2 inches long, 1 inch wide at the center. It tapers to about 1/2 inch on the ends and is about1/2 inch thick. It has a 3/8 bolt that screws into the cyl head and clamps the intake/exhaust manifold to the block.

Thanks for any help.
