I'm so intrigued by this Ebay listing close to me....

This car is only about an hour away from me. And by the rural standards up here, that's darn close. I'm usually a LM guy, but EM's are getting more interesting to me. For some reason, this 4 door has really caught my eye. There's no way I could do 4k, but if they don't sell and are sending it to the crusher, I might make an offer and see what happens (after checking it out in person).

What do pple think of this car?

And here's a pic just because I can now post pics.

Runs, but has no battery. Two flat tires, rust bubbles under the paint, interior is well worn. I would think a price closer to a 1/4 of what they are asking is reasonable.

Awesome picture.

Go see the car in person. Count out your offer in cash in front of the seller and be willing to walk away.

Looks like fan pulley has dust and rust in it. Hasn't been run in quite awhile.

It looks like a decent car for the most part, I do think $4000 is a bit strong for a car with flat tires, it may run but it seems like it would need the normal fuel system and brake refresh along with tires, after that I can maybe see the asking price range. My untouched estimate is $2000. Not my style though, I like my earlies open and my lates closed.

It looks like it still has a three plate oil cooler on it.

No title? No thanks. Cool to see a 700 4 door with tinted glass though. I would look at it if it was an hour away from me but I would not come even close to 4K.

Not no title, title N/A. I looked at Minnesota laws briefly, and it might be they did not have title issued until 1971.

If the car was repainted, they did the wheels also. Looks Evening Orchid on my monitor, not a 63 color.

And those of you in electronics should recognize the location. Digi-Key land!

That's funny Frank, I never noticed that DiGiKey was in Minnesota!

I am always thrown off by no title cars. Especially when it was "lost right when we got it." Just seems like a way too convenient way to never have your name associated with something.

Seems like it has been sitting for some time and needs some real love.

rough re-paint, unknown engine condition (because I don't trust seller that it "runs and drives" with two flats and no battery) and surface rust in a lot places and no photos where real rust might be.

Interior looks like it could be saved though.

Anybody here live in Minnesota? Google search has not definitely answered the title question for me, but leads me to think they did not have titles issued before 1972.

But, yes, if a title state, the last known owner needs to get a duplicate before I would buy anything above a parts car!

I don't live in MN, but I was intrigued enough having done some "sketchy" title stuff in my past (when I was young and stupid)

based on the DMV website MN DMV LINK it says talk tot eh office about items where there is no proof of ownership or record of title history.

Sounds like a couple decent sized hoops to jump through

The exterior, while not perfect, looks suspiciously (to me) far better than the interior. $4k is a pipe dream without a title.

On top of what everyone has told you if you go see it check the floors and trunk.
Could be rusted away. With all this it would surely be a $500.car. Good luck.
