FC (63) gas tank removal, 4 speed

time to drop the gas tank. I have it on a lift and took the straps loose, disconnected the fuel line, removed the gas filler neck lines, and then realized the shifter line runs through the tank.
pretty basic I imagine????
disconnect the line at the tranny, and ???? do what at the front, I haven't had a second but if I remove the cover underneath dos the line disconnect there as well?

This means you have a late model 63. All you have to do is remove "box" cover for access to disconnect link at the front of the shifter and then disconnect it at the rear and remove the long rod. A tube cover will need to be removed also. Another reason PGs rule.

Be mindful of the wire(s) to the fuel gauge sender as the tank lowers.

Mine had a sender wire and a ground wire that needed disconnected before full removal of the tank.
