"roughed up" the sides alright! That is some decent kinks in the sheetmetal

Oddly I was picturing better condition but overall it doesn't look too bad

Looks like a good solid car, great buy. I wonder if it got those bruises before it found it's spot it the barn? The left side looks like a pretty good hit for being inside a building, I was thinking scrapes and dings.

I wonder what year that newspaper shows as the date? It might give a hint of when it was parked!

James, you didn't buy the car, did you? The seller said it is going to Delaware.

According to the inspection tag on the windshield, it was last inspected in 1971

Delaware and Maryland are about the same aren't they?
NC, SC and GA are all the same.

I guess it's time to out myself...
I did indeed purchase the car. Once the 66 leaves, this will be coming home.
The seller misspoke- it is coming to Maryland.

Good for you! With patience and quality work, this will be a VERY nice car. Also, if you can do metal work, this will be mostly labor, instead of having to buy a lot of stuff. I'd love to see what the interior looks like all cleaned up. It would be very cool if you can keep the interior original.

Please promise you won't ever put armor-all on it, though. It will ruin an older factory interior.

I'm going to be starting a new thread as I need to find out the best products to apply to the top, top boot, seats, and door panels. I'm sure some soap and water will do wonders, but I'd like to find something that will help to moisturize the vinyl.
My plan with the metal work is to get as much of every dent out as possible and go from there. I'd like to avoid replacing panels or removing paint.

Plane and simple .Parked in 1971. last thing in the word im going to do is talk crap. I have heard about this car for years never laid eyes on until last month. Owned by a school teacher and his wife was a liberian. It comes with all original paper work. Reciept from dealer. all books protecto plate. Also i have quite and array of others. I own a towing business in up state N.Y. and people know i like these so they come to me to rid them selves of them. I am not getting any younger and will be letting more go as the summer rolls on.
