Left Friday Morning at 3:30, arrived in West Valley, Utah (Salt Lake) at 6:30 their time. Loaded up the new motor on run stand. Car and a Ton of parts, NOS and used. (Will be awhile before the process of sorting) Left West Valley and headed toward Kansas City. Arrived home Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm. Uneventful trip except for every possible weather condition starting at Laramie to Cheyenne Wyoming. Had Rain, Sleet, Snow, Fog, High Windsand Sunshine. Took over a hour to drive between the two Saturday morning around 2 am at times traveling 5 miles a hour on I-80. Only got the truck and trailer sideways twice both on overpasses, then a little excitement trying to stop on grades with ice in the mountains, ended up shifting down to first gear and prayed !!! But all and all well worth the trip. Now the proud Care Taker of the Michael Mann Avenger GT.

Thanks, Rod. The one thing I really like it is so well done it does not look like a kit car. Going to have to find someone who can redo the tune, Think it is running rich. With the difference from Salt Lake altitude to hear. Not wanting to idle until warm up. May need to reset timing also. Going to talk to guy this week who tune the car in Salt Lake see what I can find out.

Looks choice! And when our calendars say "first day of Spring" that means another 6 weeks of winter here in the Rocky Mountains. Glad it was uneventful for you. But I know what you mean about those quick prayers while on ice.

In the winter - the Deadliest stretch of Interstate has got to be Wyoming 1-80. Glad you made it thru the gauntlet.
That is a great looking Blacktop for your driveway, Don!!

I sold the blue 66 in the back ground to Chris Shade, the plates that were on the Blue 66 are on the 66 Avenger. Just need to transfer to the Avenger. Will try to get some pics of the interior this weekend weather permitting.
Had to fix a loose caliper yesterday, was driving and every time I brake heard a loud clunk, found the top bolt had backed it self out about 3/8 of inch on the left caliper and it was pivoting hitting the bracket. Least a easy fix. Now need to work on the tune and timing.

It is a Fiberfab Avenger, basically the same body as the Valkyrie, but set up for rear engine instead of mid engine. Followed Mike's build on the forums and bulletin boards over the years. He showed me the scrapbook he made on the build at one of the conventions. It is an excellent car. Once you get it adjusted to the plains it will be a lot of fun.

So the Deer Hunter went to Chris Shade, he should be able to find a good home for it.

Photo of the Avenger I had for awhile.
