Shock install on 65 Corsa
Posted by: c17flyer ()

Folks,
I am installing new shocks from Clarks this Saturday; Red Ryder gas for rear and adjustable Strider fronts. I'll check the FAQs tonight as well but looking for any helpful hints on the install and recommendations for settings on the fronts. Cal says he uses xtra firm and the rides not too uncomfortable; what say you fellow forumers?
Thanks in advance!

Standard 60's car shock replacement procedures... simple..

I think they meant soft up front to start..

I have the Red Ryders on my 65 convertible front and back. I set them on firm, and it is a pleasant drive

Less weight??

For decades we've been putting Gas shocks in the rear of your choice

And hydraulics in the front... your choice

In the 70's 4 of us switched shocks on LMs to see what each person thought.. there were few special shocks....
