If you mean the large nut on the spindle inside the yoke I believe it is 3/4x20

It is 3/4-20 just like the front spindle nuts on most GM cars of the period.

Correct - an oddball size/pitch combo, but the same as the front spindles so the castle nuts are sold at parts stores. I ALWAYS replace the nut with a new one as the rear torque spec. really beats up the castle nut threads.

If you need to recut the threads on the spindle (usually the end is mushroomed by a press or some character with a hammer during dismantle) you'll have to go to a good tool parts place to get a high quality 3/4" X 20 die.

After pulling the yoke I install a castle nut with a THICK plate welded on it before using a press. That saves the spindle end.

Best to buy the castle nut at a quality hardware supplier.
I recently bought a front wheel bearing retainer kit - from the HELP pre-packaged stuff at a local chain LAPS - it was a very poor fit! Would barely start on the spindle then started cutting metal! YIKES -
Lucky I had the original GM nuts, and really only needed the washer to get the assembly back together
Don't buy junk parts to fit quality American cars!!
