() Date: March 09, 2005 04:44PM I finally got a copy of the Corvair Tech Guide... (GREAT Book! Thanks Clay & Larry!!) Early in the book Ralph Woods talks about adding a Tach to the LM Monza's & 500's by installing a SUN CP7905 in place of the clock. I have not been able to cross reference this model to its modern equivalent (Sunpro Models do not list a 7905). Anyone have an idea for a replacement? Thanks!! Re: I've got a TACH QUESTION TOO... () Date: March 09, 2005 07:12PM >>>Anyone have an idea for a replacement?<<< I used a standard Stewart-Warner tach in a Monza dash and it was a great fit. I think just about any of the standard 3 5/8"? tachs will work. You may have to modify the retaining bracket or just glue it in. The tech guide is good but some of the info like part #s may be dated. () Date: March 10, 2005 07:05AM I used a tach from JC Whitney, mounted in a cut clock delete plate, on my old '65 Monza. The tach is still offered currently as #SN812712P for $28.99. It goes on sale occasionally as low as $19. It says it works for HEI also. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum. |
