Steve, Here is the M/C likely original to my "late model" 1963 Greenbrier

It has the floor mounted shifter and the plug is about 3 5/8 or so diameter

M/C is the top thumb screw design to retain the cap.

Steve just informed me has gotten on set up to ship to him.

Just to add my info to this thread, first photo is the MC on my 1964 Greenbrier.

The second photo is of all the MCs I took out off the LMs I dismantled.

As this is the 3rd time they are out of the store bin and no shipping occurred, I will disassemble all of them to find the best one for my Corsa back up MC. Then off to china they go.

The 1963 master cylinder had a screw on top! No bail wire!

Actually the screw is a stud with a flat oval looking tab on top. I have a couple if you want the correct one. They will have to be rebuilt and probably bored and sleeved but it will be correct for the year.

I agree with Ken - My 1963 appears to be completely original in the brakes dept. and it has the larger hole with the floor mounted transmission selector stamped into the floor panel.
It has a single M/C with a thumb-screw stud that mounts thru the top of the lid by way of a special washer.
Same as on my 1962 and 1963 Monza cars

As I PMed Dan, 1) both of our GBs rolled off the lines (his St Louis, mine Flint) in June, '63, 2) both have the large diameter floor hole, and 3) his seems to have the original MC. This is compelling evidence that my GB would have had the same (screw-on cover) type.
