Correct interior paint color EM

I have seen charts of exterior colors with codes, etc., but is there one for the interior paint colors? My car interior will be bright red (60-62) and I want to make sure that the paint color matches the interior vinyl components from Clark's.

They are definitely available. I have one for 64 but it would most likely not match what you need. If no one else chimes in, I will see if I can find the source I used and maybe they will have your year available.

Call Clark's - I know they have color matching vinyl paint, but they may also be a source for the metal paint as well.
HERE is a LINK to a chart prepared by Mark Corbin listing the color choices both interior and exterior for all years (tabs at the bottom to change LM, EM, FC)

Go to autocolorlibrary site and look at the paint charts for 1962 chevy. The back sides of the color charts have the interior color codes on them. For 1962 the interior would be gloss colors not satin or semi gloss.

I believe the paint codes may be on the Body Plate in the engine compartment. Some areas are medium red (such as door surrounds) and some are dark red (dash areas & steering column).

Guys the body tag code is a GM number for the color but does not represent an actual paint code. The only codes I ever found for EM interior colors were Ditzler codes. Since Ditzler has been gone for years not all colors had a current superceded code. That leaves you to guesswork to some degree if you are going for a factory correct code.

There are some codes here: [www.oldride.com]

Note that the dash, a pillars and radio surround was zero gloss to prevent glare. The doors and other side surfaces were 60% gloss

I had some dash paint mixed for me at my local CARQUEST store about 2 years ago. They had the description of the color and the old tint codes for mixing the paint. They called the paint company who gave them the modern tints and the paint matched perfectly.
