Pre Registration will end in 10 days (15 May). We have to give the caterer an accurate count so they can prepare for the awards banquet on Saturday night.
If you do NOT want to register ahead of time, PLEASE let us know if you even THINK you will be attending!
Saturday ONLY onsite registration is available. Awards ceremony attendance will be after the banquet and without a dinner plate.
Thanks!

The fourth annual Southeast Corvairs Spring event, Corvairs at Barber Motorsports Park, is this Friday afternoon and Saturday.
In addition to the attached Event Agenda, I want to give those that are coming a little 'heads up' information:

• The Barber museum will close at 6:00 PM Friday and opens to the public at 10:00am on Saturday
• A section of the museum lot will be coned off for Corvair parking only
• The track is scheduled to go cold between 12:00 and 12:15pm for CORVAIR ONLY Parade Laps
• Each person participating in the Parade Laps are required to sign a waiver form which MUST be signed in front of the BARBER Official!
• Waivers will be signed in the Barber museum lobby, each participant will receive a wristband
• An announcement will be made over the PA system to notify of the Parade Laps but please be in the museum lobby no later than 12:00pm
• A track representative will complete a safety briefing approx. 10 – 15 minutes before the Parade Laps and will take place in the museum lobby
• Corvairs will follow the pace car around the back of the museum and out onto the track.
• After we have completed laps park back in the designated area for taking of commemorative photos. Then we are welcome to re-enter the museum.

SAFE travels to all that are coming.

If you are not registered for the event and plan on coming, PLEASE let us know so we can lay on more food.

The weather is going to be EXCELLENT!

THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN!!!

We got to roam the museum since there was a delay on the track. This place is MIND BOGGLING!!!! Small photo gallery link below.

I believe 5 or 6 stories of mainly motorcycles, and some cars too!

For those of you who are interested in doing parade laps in your Corvair, I suggest the Northeast Corvair Council's "Taste of the Track" program, which we will be doing at New York Safety Track on Friday June 23 and Pocono Raceway on Sunday July 16. The price is $75 per car and you can register at the NECC website at www.neccmotorsports.com

Here's how it works: The NECC team will lead you through all the facets of what the driver does. No need to buy helmets and belts. All you need is the desire to have an interesting and fun filled day.

You'll sit in on our drivers meeting, learn about corner workers and flags, and have an opportunity to be a pit marshal if you so desire. You'll learn how we time the cars and post results. In fact, we encourage you to help with timing and scoring.

The best part will be the opportunity to see the track from a driver's view. We'll send you out on the track with your own car. Following a pace car, you'll be able to experience the thrill of cornering and the experience of the long straight-aways. It may even be possible for you to get a ride with one of our qualified drivers.
