So I've heard of 3 speed/140 cars and 4 speed/95 cars.
Has anyone heard of a 3 speed/110 convertible?
I'm waiting on a picture of the data plate, but I'm curious about whether this could be an original combination?

Three speed was the standard application for manual transmission Corvairs...four speed was an option.

There were many 3 speed 110's made. The problem is any that have survied have been most likely converted to a 4 speed.

Most common engine on 64-69 Corvairs is the 110 and most common trans is the Powerglide. Manual transmission cars were always made in smaller numbers.

I have worked on three 110 HP 3 speed 1965 Monza convertibles over the years. And I went to look at a 66 Corsa 140 convertible for sale with a three speed about 6 years ago. It was sold on ebay to a buyer in California. The Monzas were factory three speeds. The Corsa was kind of assembled from parts, and I did not take a picture of the Fisher body plate.

My first car was a 66 Monza 140hp 3 speed.

As it turns out, this car is actually a factory 3 speed/95 car. The current owner swapped out the 66 95hp (smoking badly and burning lots of oil) for a good running 68 110 engine with Corvair Ranch rebuilt heads. He also has a set of rebuilt 65-66 110hp heads from the Ranch included in the sale with the 66 95, along with the 68 4 speed from the car the got the engine from.

That car was Madeira Maroon with a black top and black interior originally.
Looks like it has or had a power top and deluxe seat belts.

The car still retains the power top.
I had deduced that from the tag as well.

What's the deal with the drivers door. Hit or out of adjustment which folded the door edge?

The owner said he had the door open while he was working on it and his truck rolled backwards and hit the door. Apparently the hinges are tweaked at the door.

I plan to look at the car tomorrow morning. I am planning to replace the door (as the owner recommended) if I purchase the car.
