Hi all. I was just wondering as to what kind of fuel economy you could expect from an Early Model with a four-speed. I realize this will vary based on the engine but I'm just looking for a ballpark figure (I'm assuming it's *not* a Spyder).

15 city only [140 powerglide] to high 20's and even 30's....mainly highway

I seem to average about 18 MPG city and highway combined with my '65, 110 PG. I'm neither light nor heavy on the gas pedal and I'm often running the A/C here in the Dallas, TX area.

Vairdeb's (Debbie) '64 Monza coupe w/Powerglide averages 17 - 18 mpg city and 19 - 23 mpg highway. Manual shift Corvairs will be slightly higher. Of course, gas mileage does vary, as you said, on road conditions and driving habits.

I get an average in the high twenties with a well worn engine and 3 speed stick! MEL

Mel what engine? any mods? or just a stocker 95hp?

The engine is bone stock, except for a 140 exhaust manifolds and duals. PS I drive real slow!
