Hi Al,
I'm probably misunderstanding what is in your FC currently. Are you missing the part of the steel line that extends across the cross-brace? Originally main fuel line ended where the "U" bend occurs, in front of the hole on the right side of the cross brace , through which the hose from the tank extended to connect with the fuel line. So everything between the yellow dots in your diagram is rubber hose.

Steve attached are photos of my line. The front connected is beaded but not sure if factory during to heavy compression behind bead. The rubber hose on the rearward section is 2 hoses joined with a piece of line. As you can see, quite a wrinkled line I have to work with as a template. That is why I am not sure if the line is suppose to go further forward than the 4" in front of the cross brace.

Next post will show clip I was referring to.

I pressurized the original tank to 3 psi with it full of water. There was no leaks from the tank. Tank has been emptied and is drying out. Exterior is cleaned as best can be and Rust Fix applied. 1st coat of Duplicolor RockGuard Satin rocker paint has been applied.

Front section of new line has been cut for length.

Still waiting on pump to come in.

Rick and I looked over brake line situation on the van. Decision has been made to install a dual master cylinder on it along with all new lines and hoses.

Reviewed all discussions on the dual master cylinder installation. Don't want to use a smaller bore so the car MC is out. Controlling costs so a kit from a vendor is out.

Looks like the 67 Nova dual MC is the best of all MCs to use. Has bolt on cap, has 1" bore and ports will be on right when installed. This way lines to splitters are running close to frame and not out in the open.

Only issue is primary port is 9/16-18 versus the 1/2-20. Easy fix with 1/4" line to splitter. I have a LM splitter that will accommodate the line size change.

O'Reilly's has a BrakeBest dual master cylinder for the 1967 Chevy Nova, also, that is the same configuration as the CarQuest MC. Part number is NMC11372. It was quicker to get from O'Reilly's and my discount made it equal cost. It will be here tomorrow morning. Time to order some 1/4" copper nickel brake line.

That '67 Nova MC is the same as the '67 thru '9 Corvair MC. It was also used on most of the other GM cars of the time.

The 68 I scrapped did not have this type MC on it. It had the bail wire type cover. I wanted the bolt down cover for the Greenbrier to make cover removal/installation easy through the floorboard hole.

We picked up the BrakeBest dual MC from O'Reilly's on Friday. Still waiting on 1/4" copper nickel brake line. Greenbrier brakes MC & lines are on hold until I complete the brakes on the More Door.

Electric fuel pump was received earlier this week. All parts on hand to replace fuel line and add electric fuel pump.
