() Date: July 20, 2016 08:40PM These are the items I have found that I need to take care of before I register and start using the Greenbrier. Current status on each item are also provided 1. Install air cleaner system. – Most parts found and received. A couple gaskets need to be ordered from Vendor 2. Install proper PCV system. – Sent cleaner and tube to “Rod†to have him fix up a system like he did on his engine. 3. Remove rubber lines from engine compartment. – Plan to move fuel pump and filter from compartment decided on. Regulator to be moved to an engine bracket. Lines not yet bought as supposedly the tank leaks. I need to drop it and fill it up to check its status. 4. No horn button parts. – Still trying to locate parts. 5. Windshield washer nozzle missing. – 2011 GM nozzle & an aftermarket nozzle ordered and in shipment. 6. Spare tire missing. - 93 Camaro temporary spare tire/wheel found and purchased. Tire/wheel assembly received. 7. Outside rear view mirrors. – Located a set of Jr West Coast mirrors online. Purchased and have received them. 8. Right rear light assembly damaged. – Replacement housing and lens found in parts package purchased with Van. I will have to beat on fender a bit more to get it to fit. Silicone sealer will be used to seal area. 9. I found Deluxe window trim for the front windshield. It will be installed after all the other items are fixed. 10. Correct glove box door located and is on hand for installation. 11. Day/night mirror available and will be installed also. BUT the engine runs good and the brakes work great. () Date: July 20, 2016 08:50PM check the spare rim on the front to see if it hits the steering , it will probably fit the back without issue. () Date: July 20, 2016 09:11PM The spare rim will never hit the steering. It is a T125/70D15 temporary spare About 1/3 the size of the van mounted American Racing wheels and Goodyear tires. Since the Camaro weighs 3500 pounds and the Van weighs 3090 pounds, I figured it could work in an emergency. Cost of a full size tire and wheel would have been more than double what I paid for this wheel & tire. Al Georgia Attachments: ![]() Re: Setting Up 64 Greenbrier Deluxe For Road Use Posted by:

() Date: July 21, 2016 08:25AM I love the wheel/tire set up you have on that rig. Are you planning on putting the horn ring on the wheel or just a separate switch on the dash? Re: Setting Up 64 Greenbrier Deluxe For Road Use Posted by:

() Date: July 21, 2016 03:33PM I have a horn button ready to go on. Corvair Ranch has the internal parts ready for ship to me. You just made me think what is really supposed to be there. A horn button or something a horn ring like the cars. Al Georgia Re: Setting Up 64 Greenbrier Deluxe For Road Use Posted by:

Only 65's had a horn-ring. You're good on the button. Re: Setting Up 64 Greenbrier Deluxe For Road Use Posted by:

() Date: July 22, 2016 07:16AM I have a gentleman that saw my Greenbrier on my work computer screen and he is interested in getting it for his hobby. I will keep working on it to make it road worthy. If he buys it, I will make the post then. Al Georgia Re: Setting Up 64 Greenbrier Deluxe For Road Use Posted by:

() Date: July 26, 2016 05:14AM I think you're wrong on that. My 64 has the ring and I saw 64 Rampsides with horn rings. It really doesn't matter anyway since most of us install what pleases us and unless doing a concourse restoration, who cares. Just like the custom wheels. () Date: July 26, 2016 10:16AM Wow, Pedigo, a humble reply and NO insults. Are you feeling OK ? This isn't like you, I don't know what to think. To tell you the truth I really don't know which year they started with the horn ring on the FC's. I only know mine being a 64 has one and I saw a 65 at the Helen CORVAIR affair that had one as well. Also I don't know if the ones on the cars is the same as the FC's even though they look to be the same. I know the steering column is totally different. 64 Greenbrier 64 Spyder (needs restoration) 65 Corsa 140, restored 66 Corsa turbo, restoring now 66 Corsa 140 "RR" code coupe fully restored 62 Rampside 69 Corvette 427 convertible restored 2022 Tesla model S 2015 Corvette Z06 1965 AC Cobra (Factory Five) Re: Setting Up 64 Greenbrier Deluxe For Road Use Posted by:

() Date: July 26, 2016 10:18AM Hey people, even our vendors thought the 64s had the horn button not the ring. I sent one of them the parts catalog info to show the plain Greenbrier and the Greenbrier Deluxe info. Al Georgia Re: Setting Up 64 Greenbrier Deluxe For Road Use Posted by:

Forgive me for not completely being consistent,Melbe-Toast. I was really baked and off my game,as a pacifist. I shall not allow myself to be so unenthused with your latest condescension again. You're still my favorite prick. Re: Setting Up 64 Greenbrier Deluxe For Road Use Posted by:
