() Date: February 22, 2005 09:10PM Hello: It can be done, you need to be able to indicate the run-out on both the face of the flywheel as well as the edge. This insures that the flywheel is running true to the crank (no wobble) and not running like an egg. After that, the typical proceedure is to drill a rivet and install the bolt/nut, torque to spec, drill a rivet on the opposite side, install the bolt/nut and torque to spec. After all the rivets have been replaced, you should again check the run-out and finally have a machine shop check the balance. Many flywheels that I see are badly out of round (due to rivets coming loose and shifting) and some are bent where the center is bolted to the flywheel. Needless to say, those will not bolt easily and have a good piece. The bolt kits are available from the vendors. Good luck. Regards, Steve GUESS where?? Posted by:
