Has anybody ever seen a successful transplant of a complete late model suspension (65-69) into a early model 60-64?? I realize this would be a large project ,but wonder if it has ever been done? Thanks MEL

Yes,

It has been done and I have been planning on doing it to my 63 vert as soon as I wrap up a few 1000 other projects.

If you plan on using alot of the EM inner panels and structure it requires alot of cutting and welding of support plates and other.

My was plan was to basically cut off the rear half of the car and make a tube frame rear end to which I would fab the approprite mounting points for the LM transplant and then cover the whole thing with a one piece fiberglass rear end.

I seem to recall that a friend of Matt was the one who did it and there were some pic's posted on the web but I can't recall where.

maybe he wil chime in and post a link of pic.
