I do occasionally need an open bed pick up truck; but don't really like driving the huge, full sized American trucks of the last few years.

Hence this compromise.

Nice Ranchero rnch! Same reason I love my El Camino so much.

Since this thread came back up and I had posted pictures of the engine apart in my '50 Pontiac, here is a picture of it all back together.

Looking for a 50 to 75 ton hydraulic press and ran across this 100 ton K R Wilson unit. Didn't really want that much of a press, weighs in a 2800#'s! With 100 tons of force I believe I'll be able to press a bearing off a shaft or push it through the shaft!

I love it! What does it use to raise and lower the table?

Well it's not a Corvair, but this thread is labeled as OT so it should be acceptable. I know there are a few other members here that are also involved in the RC hobby. This is a 70mm EDF F-16 Thunderbird. It's capable of 100+ mph flights.

Not actually in my shop yet but planning to pick it up Wednesday. I'm getting ready to make some CNC combustion chambers. Anyone know about drip feeding these old CNC machines? It's an Anilam 1100 series with 2 MB RAM.

Joel, what do you mean by "drip feeding" them? Do you mean streaming the code from another computer?

Yes. That's what they call it. Another computer has to "drip" small chunks of code and wait for the commands to complete before sending more.

Nice precision Drill press with slider and BeadBlast Cabinet from Tractor Supply... Top lid 22"x 20". Hooked up shop vac and added 15 lb. #8 Glass Bead..

Works great 4 nozzles...4-10 CFM @ 100 psi.. I used the second to smallest nozzle... sprayed 3/8" path.

I received a fews items for the HF blast box I got almost 2 weeks ago. I purchased a Scat gun to replace the pitiful gun supplied with the cabinet. Also a 33" LED light that mounts magnetically. It is hanging on the box in the photo. I will cut off plug and wire it into the switch on the box. I also got 4 boxes (25 lbs each) of #13 ultra fine glass beads to fill the box with.

I removed the hopper from the unit today to properly seal the hopper. Found out the HF employees only put in a few strips of foam sealer tape, not the full complement it should have. They also strong armed many bolts/nuts, where I had to use the Dremel tool cut-off wheel to get them out. Stripped the nuts on the Grade 0 steel bolts where they would not unscrew. There was also 15 missing bolts in the unit. It will be one tight sealed box when I am done. I need to order a set of good gloves to replace the plastic gloves HF supplied with the unit. Still good unit for a $70 discount. Too much work and buying items to buy it at full price or even 20% off.

You'll have problems with those holes in the side and bottom.

It was that or a t-fitting to put a short hose with a blow nozzle inside to blow off parts before removing. I had a t-fitting but didn't like the line routing off it. Back fitting for blow nozzle and it's hose. Hang it up on back wall until needed. There will be a hook bolted to back wall for it. I'll post photo when it is finished.

Finally completed mods to my new HF blast cabinet.

Mods:
1. Sealed all seams by disassembly, sealing and reassembly.
2. Installed dust diverter over vacuum attach port to deflect beads.
3. Installed LED light bar. Modified existing switch housing to use 3 prong computer style AC power receptacle. Added heavy duty 6 foot power cord.
4. Installed 2 air compressor fittings to side wall under door.
5. Installed air hose and nozzle to clean parts after blasting. Added hook to back wall for hanging hose. Clamped hose under air inlet lower left corner.
6. Installed Scat blast gun (medium) with new air hose/fittings
7. Replaced 5/8" 20" long feed tube (non-reinforced) with a 5/8" 29" long feed tube (reinforced) feed tube. This allows gun to move than half to the left in the cabinet.
8. Replaced glass with laminated safety glass and installed acrylic sheet on inside. Purchase acrylic sheet from Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
9. Installed nut-serts in window mounting holes to allow easier replacement of acrylic sheets.
10. Locked hopper trap door with bolt washers and wing nut.
11. Added 50 lbs of #13 ultra fine glass beads to hopper.
12. Assembled hoses to mate up to the Dust Deputy cyclone dust collection unit. Still need to add it to a new pail. Reading up online on how people have done it. Looks like bucket cover needs reinforcing.

Still looking to replace foam door seals with a rubber bulb seal in the future.

But it is ready to start work as soon as holidays are over.
