Right/left turbo heads

The various guides suggest that turbo heads were cast differently for the left and right sides of the engine - the right side one having the oil tube. Could you get away with using two right-side heads in the same engine?

Yes. Just block thew oil tube on the one you use on the left side. Also, some people just route the oil return to the valve cover when using two left heads or a non-turbo head on a turbo engine.

The heads are the same left and right. There is a Turbo oil drain boss on both. The only difference is the boss is not used and not opened on the left side. Also the hookup for the manifold pressure gauge is thread onto the left head instead of the Vacuum retard. Just plug the hole and swap out the fittings for the gauge.
