The Camaro convertible shoulder belts are just as rare.

My 64 Monza has many of these items mentioned, but also a remote mirror, door edge guards, Ventshades, trunk and engine compartment lights, rear antenna, locking gas cap, bumper guards, A/C, clock, etc... 26 items total.

But I'd like to have a luggage rack and a set of Kelsey-Hayes for it also!! cool smiley

In 66 the lights would be part of RP0 Z19 which would also have the engine compartment light, door edge guards, day night mirror inside and a remote mirror.
Does you car have a remote mirror on the left door? The courtesy lights and trunk lights were part of the Convenience Equipment in 1966. If factory installed you would have a F in group 4 on the body tag.

I don't know I'll have to look. They look factory installed since the trunk wires into the trunk harness but I guess it wouldn't be hard to copy.gnvair Wrote:

1960 rear package shelf vinyl cover with zipper. I only found one in all the years that I picked parts from dealer shelves.

There were approximately 153 Corsa's with ac. There are rarer singular options.
Look up shoulder belts for 1966 models.

Accessories and options were avaiiable three ways, factory installed only, dealer installed only, and both. The stereo multiplex is a dealer-installed only item. Head restraints were factory-installed only. While a/c, radios of all types, and shoulder belts on certain models were available both ways.

Many dealers would stock a limited number of cars, equipped with mostly factory-only options, in a variety of colors. Then when a customer came in wanting X car in Y color with Z options, the dealer would pull a car from the back lot, run it thru his shop (where options in dealer-install kits sat on his shelf) where all the wanted options would be installed, and the customer left with exactly what he wanted. He was happy, the dealer was happy (low inventory to maintain) everyone won. So many cars never left the lot in an "as-built" condition. And even today, many dealers still work that way.

So it's all but impossible to get any solid numbers on how many of what was installed.

Worse for the "as-built" crowd is the fact that Fisher Body logged the options they installed on the body tag, but Chevy didn't. If it was Chevy installed, it's very difficult to prove an "as-built" car. And documentation is critical. Because of that, "as-built" is a pipe dream for Corvairs, and many other car brands.

A follow-up to my post. I did some number-crunching on the LM options, and only then can truly rare options be realized. Some options cited in the other posts aren't as rare as you might think. Check Kent's site for numbers.

I especially was interested in the '67's, and found that '67 has the longest list of options of any LM. There were 20 options installed by Fisher Body, and 32 by Chevy. Many were available either factory or dealer installed.

Of them, there were three distinct groupings. Common options were only four, installed on 60-71% of the cars, Another group were installed on 13-36% of the cars, while the majority of available options were on less than 11% of the cars. Unfortunately, those charts are too large to post here.

Stan Schultz has factory ski racks on his (stunning) 68 Monza Convertible. This car took "Best of Show" in Tulsa a few weeks ago.

No one has mentioned Speedminder. Had a '67 convertible with it, 110, 4-speed, HD suspension, quick steer, tele wood wheel and air conditioning. A friend still has the car today.

Another rare option not mentioned is the fold down rear seat in a 500. My '66 500 four door has the folding seat option and factory air.

Not an accessory but....
Metric speedometers. Especially rare here in the States. Remember Canada did not go metric until later.

I have an Early car metric speedo and a 65 Monza metric speedo. I know others have some with different variances..... But like Larry Claypool told me many years ago... "Your not cool until you have a fill set... including CORSA and Spyder"!grinning smiley
He was joking of course!smileys with beer

One accessory I'm interested in, but have never seen, is the cargo cover for an original Greenbrier roof rack.

I'd considered this a rare item along with the FC child's bed and tire valve extensions shown in the accessory installation instruction book from 1964...
